Why a toolbox?
Every good evaluator uses a variety of tools, modes and methods for collecting, analyzing, and disseminating data so that it may be used for improvement and change. I believe that all tools were created for a purpose, and my job is to discern that purpose and determine when the tool is useful in my own work. The tools highlighted in my Toolbox are ones that I find particularly useful in complex systems that social innovators often face, and that I often use in my work. As the Audre Lorde quote above emphasizes, you often need innovative and different tools to solve entrenched problems. This is the sphere within which I tend to work.
